Have a new bright wonders 6 ft led sheer descent. I noticed that after it is off, even a few days out it leaks down onto the stone wall. Also noticed the concrete blocks on the back seem to be wet as well. When I operate it I noticed along the bottom of the unit there is dripping water down. The waterfall seems fine and even. The secure were taken after about 5 days of not using it. It is on a 2.7 variable speed pump. Please provide any advice you have. Builder says it’s a closed system and no way it is leaking. The pump for this is all the way on the right.

I don’t know how the builder calls the sheer descent a closed system. It is an open system flowing out the waterfall.

It is common to see leaks at the back of the sheer descent. Only way you will find out what is going on is invasive surgery into the back of the wall.

What I do to stop this “leaking”. Turn off pump, then turn off waterfall, then after 30 sec, turn pump back on.
In my situation if I turn off waterfall while pump remains on, the level of the waterfall in the standpipe is maintained while the actuators rotate the valves. So if you do this procedure, the water will be far below the waterfall lip and thus no more leaking out.
