Is all this snow joe going to prevent my pool from freezing this winter?

I just had a strange thought after adding ~25# of ice melt to my pool today....... Is my pool still going to freeze this winter? I'm ok if it doesn't!

The freezing point depression for pool water, even SWG pools, is only a few tenths of a degree C. It’s not enough to stop freezing. Your pool water will freeze if temps get low enough and stay low. That is why TFP stresses having a “winter plan” for your pool in case the power goes out during a hard freeze or the weather service predicts a hard freeze in an area for more than a few days.
