Hi all. I’m Beth from KY. I’m a single mom. I love being outdoors as much as possible… I love bass fishing and I go as much as I possibly can. I love my pool even tho it’s been nothing but a headache this summer.. I’m here to hopefully learn how to better take care of my chemicals and keep my water as clear as possible. I have a used slide I got earlier this year but I haven’t expanded my deck yet (single mom budget). I was hoping to get it up and use it a few times before I had to close up for winter… but it went green w few weeks ago and I even took water to the local pool store and done what they told me and it’s STILL GREEN! I WASTED way too much money for it to still be green!!! So I’m not a happy camper. I’m hoping I can get some one to point me in the right direction as to what levels to Check and adjust and in the correct order… thanks for having me… I been at this pool stuff for over 20 years, one would think that I’d have it figured out by now lol but I don’t.. so I’m hoping this is the place to learn what I need to do lol
Thanks again!
Beth

Welcome to TFP!!!

To clear the pool, you need one of our recommended kits. Link—>Test Kits Compared

If your pool is green, add 5ppm of liquid chlorine PER DAY until the kit arrive. Nothing else.

To figure out how to add5ppm of liquid chlorine, download pool math, configure your pool and use “Effects of adding.”

When kit arrives, post a full set of results, and start the slam process to clear the pool. You need the kit to slam. Link—>SLAM Process
