I have the shells, and I can't tell they make it any rougher. There are a few places in my pool where there doesn't seem to be any shells. It feels the same as where there are.

They are tiny like a flake of baby cereal or the smaller flakes of aquarium fish food. I swim under water with a mask on - a lot - mine are flat, different from the pebbles.

Wrong color???? Was it at least in the right family? Any idea why/how they got it wrong? Interesting that is WAS the color for the next pool AND yours. hummmmmmmmmm you picked a good one!

It looks great. Can't wait to see the water color. I think that is one of the neatest parts of the process--seeing what color the water transforms into!

Ok, I have now decided I will absolutely be home when they do the pebble tech to double check the color! In fact when I went by the builder's office today to pick out grout color and sign off on it, I noticed they hadn't changed my plaster color on my options sheet! We switched colors on the first day of our build! :shock:

And yall all really have me thinking that I need to ask about adding the abalone shells!

I remember a thread that had some really good pictures that captured the sparkle of the abalone shells in the plaster--I have searched and searched for them but can't find it. I thought it was in Sunbaby's thread but I can't seem to locate it. Does anyone remember? I want to show my husband so I can convince him!
