Intex Saltwater System - Not generating enough chlorine

I have a 16 X 48 Intex pool with a Krystal Klear saltwater system and sand filter/pump system. My pool is in full sun all day and I run the pump 8 hours and the saltwater pump 7 hours. Although all my other chemical levels are fine via the test strips, I consistently have low chlorine levels. I shock weekly and more as needed. Is there a way to determine if my system is working correctly? I started supplementing with chlorine tabs to prevent algae buildup.

Welcome to the forum!
Your SWCG is creating 4.2 ppm FC per day. That is sufficient for your pool if you do not have algae. I suspect you do.
You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100 A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols. Test strips are worthless.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
