Intex only for this summer newbie questions ground prep

We are one of the many families who have bought an Intex pool due to the current quarantine. We are not allowed due to HOA rules to leave a pool permanently, but for this summer due to the exceptional situation we can have a small one. We have purchased a 14' by 42' Intex Prism. Although temporary, we are still trying to follow all of the great advice on this forum.

Current plan is to:
1. Remove grass / apply round-up.
2. Level ground - careful to dig high and not add to low. We do have a slight slope in whole yard so we know there is work cut out for us here.
3. Use concrete pavers, sink in ground so level with the circle which we leveled.
4. Use foam for underlay.
5. Level, level, level! (that much I have already gleaned). :)

Questions:
1. Are 12" x 12" x 1.5" concrete paving stones OK for this size of pool for just this summer (3 months)? Would pressure-treated wood be easier/better?
2. Should the pool foam go over the tops of pavers or be sunk down to be level with the pavers? Seems all pictures show legs directly on top of the paving stones.
3. If the pool foam should go level with the pavers - then we need to dig inside the circle once we have the pavers level for the depth of the foam - is that correct?

If anyone has pictures of what it looks like with the pavers sunk in and the foam before the pool is up I would really appreciate it. Have watched a million videos but want to make sure we get it right. Intex says it takes 60-90 minutes to install so I am currently allocating 6 - 9 full days. :)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I think the 60 to 90 minutes is after you've spent a month getting the ground level and prepped! LOL Those pavers will be fine. Pressure treated wood works too. I used wood the first 2 years because I had some already laying around, and then used pavers this year. I dug my pavers in to be level with the ground and put my legs directly on the pavers. I put foam under the liner. I do see posts where people don't dig in the pavers but leave them on the ground and level with the top of the foam. To be honest, I'm not sure if one is more right than the other. It's just when I started on this site, everything I read was to dig paver level with ground (one reason being that the liner can't rub up against the paver), so that's what I did. More recent posts suggest leveling paver with foam, so I'm not sure.
No pictures, sorry, but I dug in pavers and then I laid out my 4x8 foam starting in the center of circle. I tripled taped the seams and then I went around and cut the foam in to a circle so that the edges came right up to the paver, touching it. (my circle wasn't perfect, but good enough)

Hi, welcome to TFP! You want the floor of the liner to have complete contact with the ground for support, that's why it is better to recess the pavers into the foam board, instead of putting pavers on top of it.
