Intex krystal clear sand filter pump 10"

I ordered a intex krystal clear sand filter pump 10" for our 10'x30" intext metal frame pool.
I got it running today.
Im concerned most of amazon reviews say used 75lbs of sand.
I bought filter sand today at pool store two 50lb bags at $13 each.
Couldn't find size of sand on bag.
But only used 25lbs. Filled to just below max filll setting.
Follow instructions on pump.
All work good.
Running 5 psi on filter mode.
Ran filter mode about 90 mins no issue.

Any opions on amount of sand needed?

Way over kill for 1500 gallon pool.
But looking forward to try out skimmer i bought because stock cartridge pump would not pull in good with skimmer.

I don't know about the pounds needed, but usually you want it filled up to the point where the diameter starts to get smaller.
Sounds like there were marking though that you could follow.
Not sure how someone could fit 75 pounds where you only fit 25 pounds though.

Around 3/4 of the way up is fine.

I have the 12in and it only has 50lbs with no issues

Amazon combines reviews for the different sizes all on the one item. The guy who put 75 lbs in his probably bought one of the bigger ones that would hold 50 lbs. No idea why he'd put another 25 lbs in his filter...
