intex cs7111/ faulty low salt code 91

SALT@2950 Our INTEX CS7111 SWG/PUMP code 91/low salt will not go away any more. Everything has been done that usually fixes the code. My question is, if the low salt light is on is the system still working. I do know When the code comes up ( after a couple of minutes ) the cell losses the voltage going to it. I jumped the DC voltage needed to operate the TITANIUM ELECTRODE so it now has the voltage needed to operate. Of coarse the low salt light lite is on but it does look like it's working like normally and even turns off when it is suppose to. If anybody knows anything else let me know or if anyone knows why INTEX has a problem with the low salt warning system or if there is a fix for it without bypassing it.

The cells only last a couple of years before they wear out. A 91 is the code you'll get when it does. You can buy replacements from Intex by calling their support number on their website. The last one I bought was $79 shipped.

If you keep an eye out for them, some times you can find the entire unit for near that price at the end of the season. I try to keep a spare on hand.

I'm pretty sure my unit is working after jumping dc voltage to the cells terminal. My chlorine levels are holding steady, water is always super clear. The only long term problem I have is chronic low cal. hardness, but it has been that way for decades. Nobody seems to know why INTEX SWG's code 91 seems to just pop up for no reason. I have been using INTEX SWG's for years , this is my second unit in 6-7 years. I gave away the 1st one and it is still working today.The unit I am using now CS7111 is at least 4 years old, is cleaned often. Everybody thinks I need a new unit, what I really want to know is why the unit's seem to have a code 91 problem.
