Getting ready to install 24x12x52 Intex, and had following idea for each leg base;

Pressure treated lumber 2x8 cut to 15 inch length. True measurement is 1 1/2 inch thick, 7 1/2 inch wide by 15 inch length.

1/2 ground contact pressure treated plywood cut to 16 x 16 inch squares.

Nail 2 pieces of the lumber to plywood for final wood block 15x15 inch, 2 inches thick.

Lumber side facing up and legs can be place perpendicular to grain.

I think this would be ideal, maybe even overkill, but suggestions welcome.

It does sound like overkill. Pavers would be easier and possibly cheaper with the cost of lumber right now. Any reason you're thinking about doing pressure treated wood?

I have a single 2x8 under my legs and the legs are perpendicular to the grain (going with the grain is probably the #1 cause of failure when using wood). It has been up 3 years with no movement.
