Intermatic Timer PE103ME Losing settings

Good afternoon. Today as I was troubleshooting the salt cell controller, I detected that my digital timer loses the programming once the power is cut from it. I looked to see if it had a battery backup to replace but I couldn't find any. Does anyone know if there is a hidden battery installed somewhere on these timers? Thanks

The specifications in https://www.intermatic.com/-/media/inriver/12615-9022.ashx/P103 Instructions EN says "Clock Backup: Up to 100-hour Supercapacitor".

That capacitor may be faulty on your timer.

How old is the timer?

Close to 5 yrs now.

Somewhere along the way that backup capacitor filed.
