Our intermatic remote control randomly stopped working. I assume it was dropped. It lights up, but nothing happens. When I look it up, they're $280+! Ideas? Cheaper resources? We're selling our house currently and I'm so tired of putting money into the house when we're moving.

Never saw that system before.
Show us pictures of the Intermatic panel on the equipment pad.
I think you will need to buy a new remote if you want to get the system running.
Or change your equipment to manual controls and let it be up to the next owner to decide what modern automation they want to upgrade to.

I would love to know how to program it without the remote.

So it's turning on at some point in the middle of the night and turning off in the morning. The remote is not working. Where is it getting this programming from? Can I change it?

At one time the program was set and it is in memory that can only be changed by an interface (remote).

Do you know you can manually turn devices on and off using the buttons on the panel?

Only thing you can do is disconnect the panel and install manual switches or timers.
