Intellivalve actuator not switching to Auto.

Hi,
My Pentair intellivalve actuator is not switching to Auto mode.i shows red light and and nothing happens when I press the mode button. This is causing water overflow from the pool and not heat up properly when spa is turned on.
Have any of you faced this issue and is there anything I can do myself to fix the issue.

Can you put the valve in SERVICE mode and then position the valve manually?

We have not heard of anything in the Intellivalve being user serviceable.

Make a warranty claim with Pentair.

I need to figure out how to put it in service mode. If this happens, is the solution usually to replace it? And can I do the replacement my self? Sorry new to pool and little hesitant to do DYI if it is too complicated but I want to try. Pool guy is charging $150 just to come and diagnose the issue. And I am sure he will charge more to get a new part and replace it.

You press and hold the SAVE button to turn the valve actuator on/off. Try pressing and holding the save button for about 2-3 seconds and the LED should change to green.
