I bought an Intelliflo3 for our outdoor pool. Before I install it I have one question. Will it operate without being connected to WiFi? I don't need it connected and I just want to control it from the buttons on the pump.

As long as you purchased the pump with the optional touchscreen, you can use it without the wifi. The part number for that pump is 011077.

You can also purchase the touchscreen separately, part number 356159Z

You need to use an app on your phone or automation to control an IntelliFlo3 without the optional control panel.

The phone can connect to the pump by BlueTooth or WiFi. The pump does not need to connect to a house WiFi network.

I bought a Jacuzzi JVS185S. I have it installed and it seems to be working fine. I ran it on the lowest speed the first night and it did not make enough pressure/flow to allow the heater to turn on. The pressure on our 72 sq foot DE filter is about 12 PSI or lower except at the highest speed. The pool seemed a little cloudy so I ran it at the highest speed overnight and it has cleared up. I am assuming the filter needs more pressure to function properly.

Just to echo and confirm for any others reading the thread; all IntelliFlo3 pump models are fully programmable as described by Allen. The screen is not needed - your smartphone or tablet becomes that screen.

We've installed and played with the touchscreens in the wild and they're pretty sexy, no doubt. We puppy-eyed Pentair to send us the screens ASAP because we missed the old style, only to realize we had already adapted and didn't need them after all.

The smartphone app was just fine.
