Hey @Jimrahbe ,

Reaching out to get some feedback and guidance on how I need to properly wire my Pentair intelli led lights to relay 1. I came across this thread and found your insight was on track with my issue. I currently have my intelliconnect installed, power ran and is communicating with the IntelliFlo VS pump, the ichlor 30 and the temperature sensor but I can not figure out the relay part regarding the lights. I’m attaching some pictures of my breaker box which shows the current set up with the switch manually controlling the lights through toggling through for color selection. The wiring I have run to the intelliconnect for relay 1 is only for line 1 and load 1, so not sure if I need to run additional lines to the line 2 and load 2 side. Any suggestions and guidance you can offer would be a huge help! I will respond very promptly to any additional questions You may have. Thx Joe

Welcome to TFP.

For 120V, which lights are, it only has one hot line to switch. So you only use LINE1 for the hot wire from the CB and LOAD1 wire to the light.

LINE2 and LOAD2 are not used on the relay when controlling a 120V circuit.

Hi AJ,
Thank you for the quick response! So just to clarify, line 1 will attach to a CB (which I have an extra slot for another breaker if needed) and line 2 will attach to the two red wires (next to the now not used transformer)?

You already have a CB feeding power to the light.

I don’t know what the red wires connect to.

Just take the two wires off of the existing toggle switch and move them to LINE1 and LOAD1. The relay replaces your existing switch.

The two red wires (coming from the lights) connect to two black wires from the transformer and a blue wire connects to one side of the toggle and the other side of the toggle connects to the CB. So in this case the transformer will still be used? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to avoid damaging the equipment and your guidance is very much appreciated!!

Yes you still use the transformer.

The relay switches the 120V into the transformer.

It sounds like your lights are 12V and need the transformer.
