Intellichlor Warranty

Does the Intellichlor chlorinator need to be installed by a licensed Pentair vendor for the warranty to be honored?

A year or so ago I'd looked to have our IC40 replaced or repaired under the warranty. When I started the process on the Pentair website, one of the mandatory questions was who did the installation, and there were many many companies listed. I'd installed it myself, and there didn't appear to be any option for self-install, though.

Just curious if self-installation voids the warranty or anything like that.

New cell, yes.

Replacement cell no and gets a 2 year warranty.

Note it says "without Power Center" which means a replacement cell and it has no check under "Requires Professional Installation"
