1) Am I able to hook up a new intellichlor plus 40 to an older model easy touch automation panel?
2) If I can, how do I wire it? / where are there any resources for the wiring diagram?
3) Do I need the generator power station or can I power and control the scg from the easy touch panel alone?
4) Do I need an adapter for the 4 prong plug or do I take that 4 prong off and hardwire directly to the main pump relay?

Yes.

The EasyTouch and IntelliChlor manuals have instructions, but they're pretty awful. Here's how I wired mine:

Some ET panels came with the necessary transformer, some didn't. Here's how to tell whether yours did:

Thank you for the reply. Here’s the inside of my EasyTouch. It looks like I have the transformer but I am not sure if this is the correct one I need. Any advice on additional parts or specifics on wiring would be greatly appreciated! I am hoping to get this wrapped up for this upcoming weekend!

jc,

You will need the Power Center for the cell.. Your EasyTouch did not come with an internal power center so you will need an external one.

The AC that runs the power center MUST come from the load side of the Pump/Filter relay.

You will also need a 4 wire 18 gauge cable so you can connect the Com port in the new Power Center to the J20 com port in your EasyTouch. This cable allows you to use the EasyTouch to set the cell's output.. it is also used by the cell to send the reported salt level back to the EasyTouch.

Edit.. Pentair PC100 IntelliChlor Power Center

Thanks,

Jim R.
