When my pool was built they installed an Ichlor 30, which for my pool is on the small size. The cell was thankfully large enough to keep up with my 20,000 gallon pool.
At the end of last year the cell seemed to go out so I ordered an intellichlor IC60 and by ordering online and installing myself I saved a ton of money (hopefully). This year I had a hard time keeping the chlorine at the ideal level and finally noticed that the flow sensor was red explaining why the FC level wasn't where I thought it should be. When I installed the new cell I kept the same pump speed and just expected no problems. I think I've increased my speed 3-400 rpms and I noticed the red light on again yesterday.
Do the intellichlor systems require a higher flow rate vs Ichlor? Do I possible have a bad flow sensor? Whenever I noticed the red light I can increase the speed on my pump manually and the light will immediately turn green.
