Intellichlor IC40 lights blink on then off

My Intellichlor IC40 is not running and none of the lights are on. When you first switch on the power on, all of the lights blink on and then right off and never come back on. It's been raining a lot and I suspect water may have gotten inside. Previously, the top part of the cell has pushed up from the body on its own and I have pushed it back down. It's still sticking up a little.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

Probably time for a new cell.

How old is it?

Only about two years old. I expected more life from a cell. I acid washed earlier this spring, so it should not be plugged up.

I would file a warranty claim.

I installed the system myself. From what I've heard, they won't cover that.

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all pool owners too ashamed to mention their own city...

I was talking to a Pentair Tech and he was telling me that they had (or are having) an issue where the internal seals go bad and water gets into the electronics, but from the inside out, rather than leaking from the outside in...

I would call Pentair and tell them you think your panel has an internal leak and see what they say...

As James says.. "Worth a try" Just be prepared by giving them all the numbers you'll find on the opposite side from the control panel..
