Intellicenter won't boot up - firmware upgrade wireless remote

1st time poster. New Intellicenter system. Ver 1.04.
Just received Intellicenter remote. It's at 1.047.
Installed antenna/etc and remote connected to Intellicenter for brief moment then said there was a firmware mismatch.
Either need to upgrade the control panel to 1.047 or downgrade the remote to 1.04. It said they needed to match.
I downloaded the 1.047 to USB and installed to control panel.
Upon reboot, system is stuck "loading please wait" is the only message I get.
Won't go any further.
Tried reset button and complete power reset.
No luck.
Any suggestions from the group? @MyAZPool @jonpcar

Thanks. Yep, they are sending someone out. Think it's a bad board.

Local Pentair Service Rep came out and replaced the board. New board has 1.047. Everything works. All's well that ends well.
No confidence in the firmware upgrade process though.
