I'm upgrading our Pentair Easy Touch system with PN-522046 determined based on ours being a pre-2012 board.
Everything that came with the kit is straight forward, the outside antenna, the transformer, the board itself all look plug-n-play.
My question is about the Wireless Link Kit. The kit includes a 4-wire cable for connecting what the instructions refer to a "Protocol Adapter, sold separately to use with Screen Logic". I want to be able to use my smart phone to control the Intellicenter. Do I need the protocol adapter to do this?
It seems odd to connect the Intellicenter board to my broadband wireless router using the wireless kit if it's not going to be accessible to my phone (or laptop) without the protocol adapter.
Also, our router is dual band, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and we stream to a couple of TVs using Roku sticks. There are notes about 2.4GHz devices conflicting with the signal from the wireless indoor transceiver to the outdoor antenna. Is going to be a problem?
