From what I have read that the control board is preset to 120, so why do they make the transformer 120/240, is there a plus to 240? My electrician is wiring it up tomorrow and hope to give him the correct answer. Thanks.

Dave,

I don't think that is true.. The main board does not even get any High Voltages at all.. It gets low AC voltage from the System Transformer.

The System transformer can be wired for 120 VAC or 240 VAC on the Primary (input) side, but in either case the output is still the same.

Wire it to whatever works best for you.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Agreed with the above comments. I just finished this installation and went with 120 wherever I could due to limited breaker spaces and to try to isolate where possible.

I went with the following
220v - Filter Pump and SWG
220v - WF Pump
120v - Intellicenter
120v - Pool Lights
120v - Gas Heater and Blower
120v - Outlets, Landscape Lights
220v - Surge Protector
