I am installing a CircuPool RJ60+ SWCG. I currently run a Intermatic Multipurpose control for my pump timer. The timer is capable of running in multiple modes. I believe I need mode 1 since I only have a single speed pump and no other accessories like firemen's switch or freeze sensor.

I intend to wire into circuit 2 for the SWCG using the 120V since that is what my pump is. What I am unable to determine is will circuit 2 turn on the SWCG even if circuit 1 (pump) is not active? Everything I have read says to turn the SWCG on 30 minutes after the pump starts and to shut it down 30 minutes prior to the pump shutting down. If I put both the pump and the SWCG on circuit 1 I know the SWCG will only run when the pump runs but there would not be the 30 minute delay. Or do I just wire into circuit 2 with the SWCG and set the timer to start the SWGC 30 minutes later than the pump is set to run and to shut off 30 minutes sooner than the pump.

I realize in doing that latter option that I am relying on the flow switch to keep the SWCG turned off should the pump not start with the timer for some reason.

Just wire the SWCG to the same timer that is controlling the pump. The SWCG can turn on when the pump does.

The 30 minute delay is if you are using a VS pump with on board timer and you have an independent timer for the SWCG.

Mode 5 basically couples circuit 1 & 2 so I can leave my pump wired to circuit 1 and wire the SWCG to circuit 2 and they will both be activated (powered) and turned off at the same time. I think I will use Mode 5. Thanks for the information!
