Installed new pump.and it is leaking

I installed a new pump and it is leaking. Did i.mess up on seal?

If you replaced the total pump (not just the motor) then you could ask for a new pump under warranty. It should not leak if it is brand new and there is no reason to mess with those bolts if you are just installing the suction and exit plumping.
Did you replace the whole pump or just the motor?

Then either seal got torn at that place or maybe the bolts were not tightened evenly. Best to pull it apart and investigate.
