I got my pool winterized about a month back by a pool servicing company. After winterization, I noticed they dropped the water level near the bottom of the skimmer.

Due to recent rains, the water level has risen almost to the top. I live in Raleigh and the pool surface gets frozen for a couple of weeks.

Do I need to lower the water level or can I leave it as is?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have a tile line on your fiberglass pool?

With no tile you don't need to drain the pool yet.

But keep an eye on the water level and do not let it overflow. If the water level gets towards the top then you need to drop a submersible pump in and drain some water out.

Do you have a submersible pump setup ready?

Thank you. No I do not, I will check out the link.

I'm near Raleigh. I don't recall my pool surface ever freezing. I'm not sure what you mean by having a submersible ready. I have a utility pump but it's sitting in a box in the garage. It's not ready to go on a moments notice.

You don’t want to let a pool, especially a Fiberflass pool, overflow due to winter storms.
