Sometimes when balancing the chemicals at the beginning of the season, I get lazy. Sure, I'll pour in enough chlorine to get the FC to shock level for the CYA. But then maybe I get busy and skip a day then pour in enoguh chlorine to get back to shock level and keep repeating this bad habit. Then a week goes by and I wonder, "dang, if I would have been more diligent with the SLAM, I bet this wouldn't have taken so much chlorine!"
Is it more efficient to SLAM properly or do you think it uses the same amount of chlorine overall, but when doing the SLAM properly it gets results faster?
