I have the TF100 kit and just tested the water in my new 25K gallon pool. Using the dropper test, I get 3 ppm of free chlorine. However, when I use the K1000 kit, I get 0.5 total chlorine. I thought that the TC should be higher than FC?

The OTO kit is just a 'yup, there is chlorine in the pool'. It is in no way accurate to a level.

Thank you! Is the pH test in the K1000 pretty reliable? I also have an electronic pH meter and the results are pretty close.

Yes, the pH test is very reliable up to 10 ppm FC. Above that level it can start to read high.
