In-line water conditioner for mineralized water?

We had our initial pool fill via a local water company, but we've topped it off with well water. I'm considering adding something like this in-line water conditioner to help prevent mineral buildup or calcification. I've used it at another property with good results - but that was for the indoor plumbing, not a pool. Main reason is I want to install a saltwater generator, and I don't want the cells corroding on me.

Any thoughts/cautions/recommendations?

Thanks,
Mike

You have pool math, why dont you just turn on CSI tracking and manage your water to be slightly negative CSI? I keep mine slightly negative and have never had to clean my swcg and I'm going on year 4.

That seems to make more sense than that contraption. I'm not sure that is rated for pools (fits up to 1" pipes), and it doesnt actually get rid of any of the calcium. Do you have calcium scale now on your tile?
