In ground Pool drain

How do we clean the drain that it goes between the pool and the house? Pictures below.

He and welcome to TFP. When you say clean what do you mean? Do you mean get the concrete off the white drain? Or do you mean clean the channel under the white piece of debris? Neither are going to be fun to do. There are ways to do both. I await your answer.
