Improvement Circulation With One Return

I'm wondering what I can do to improve circulation and flow throughout our 20x40 pool. It only has one return jet on the deep end.
Maybe a fountain or something? I got an infusion return jut to help but still doesn't seem to be moving water that great.

The obvious - Keep the skimmer & filter baskets clean.
Not so obvious - Make sure the pump impeller is clean.
- How often are you cleaning the filter? What type of filter do you have? What's your clean pressure & what pressure are you cleaning the filter?

We have a Tagelus Sand Filter 60D. Filter is clean and pressure stays around 22 before backwash and 20 after. I attached a photo...these are the areas floaties and things seem to just sit with no movement. I also put an arrow where or return is located.
