Guys... I'm onto my next and very important DIY project that I'd like to bounce off you guys. I have a severe water drainage issue that is so bad that during the Fall, Winter and Spring time and occasionally throughout the Summer, I get water and TONS of mud in this "mud room". It was appropriately named. It's bad. I'm probably going to call off work tomorrow and Friday to get the work done other than not wanting to be at work. LOL I'd rather sweat! Anyway...
My plan is to dig out roughly 6-8" of the ground and make a slight valley towards the shed where I will dig down 3ft or so and lay a drainage tube on top of chipped stone. In my thinking, if i keep it higher at the door and slope it down towards the shed, the water wont run toward the door where i want to keep it away from. I'll run the tube under the gate of the fence and lay more chipped stone and then dirt n reseed it around the gate. I have about 250ft of black drainage tube from Stephen Stephenson
@Newdude

I also have 2 10ft pieces with the fabric on it that will go into the ditch and ill add the additionaldrainagetube to that to carry the water away. (I'm good at digging ditches)

I'll be laying these large flat stones on top of the chipped stone and filling it in with more chipped stone or even buy stone dust to set it or dump a bag of dry concrete over top of the chipped stone to set it. I'm not sure how far back I'm going but I have more big stones if I need them.
Anyone wanna look at these pics and let me know if I'm missing anything. I can add more pics on demand. I know my mud room is a mess. It's just a throughway for the dogs to get outside but you can see the horrible issues I'm dealing with. Once I get this fixed, I can start replacing the door and other things that's suffered water damage. My husband was supposed to help me but that never happened so I'm here doing the best I can. I figured you guys wouldn't mind helping me and several brain storms are better than one.
