The big reveal will happen tomorrow! I will go get the Princess and blind fold her and have Pappy walk her down in while I video it and then I'll upload it so you all can watch everything become worth it. She was worth it all. It's hers! I told her it's done. She is very excited to see it!

Just want to thank everyone for all the support you give myself and this community. You guys are not just great friends. I consider all of you an extension of my family. You've all went above and beyond for me and my family and I'll always be forever grateful.
Today is the big reveal day. I'm so ready to show my granddaughter what I built her! I'm also so ready for next summer so we can enjoy it! We are going to make new memories and spend so much time together and have so much fun!!!! I have to tell you guys that as I watched the guys fight to get that slide together n finally bolt it to the concrete, I had to walk away because I teared up a bit. Not only because of the slide but the whole pool build, being done, being able to do it, getting her back after a long separation of covid, being able to swim again after losing everything, having this place... I dont want for much but this pool means a lot to her and I. I taught her how to swim and put her in water at a very young age and we loved swimming so much.
She has not been here at all since the hole was dug. I did send her a couple pics but she hasn't seen it for the last week or so. She begged me for a pic n I told her it's a surprise! I can't wait to upload it for you guys to see!

Like anything else, it takes a while to just be normal. Yours will probably take even longer as you didn’t use it. So fast forward a month and you’ll be getting ready for work on a random day and glance out there with it the furthest thought from your mind……….

Our build finished at the end of January. My knuckleheads jumped in late February/early March when the water was only 48 degrees!

Its been fun. I was so happy to see her enjoy herself and that little tippy toe dance! She was so excited!
It's all about the relative humidity and how much water the air can take. Here in FL, we get the sun in the summer, but it's offset by high humidity and the wet season. The winter, however, is drier air and more sparse but larger storms.

I'm 3 weeks in and still just stand there and look at my pool for a few minutes every day. And mine was just a resurface!

I remember when my parents' pool was finished. It was January. Florida January, but still January. My brother and I didn't get out until they noticed our lips turning blue and forced us out!
