I removed upper shell, removed filter and cleaned it. I then started to reassemble the filter, upper tank shell, but for some brain failure I set the Posi-Loc ring on
top of the lower tank before placing the upper tank shell on and then installing the Posi Loc ring. Then I gave the ring a slight CW spin. Now I am completely
unable to unscrew the ring which turns 1" only. I cannot get it off. I also removed the safety latch which of course made no difference. I cant believe that they would design such a mistake. It sure was a mistake on my part.
