Ideal plumbing for laminars

Planning a 22’x44’ build with saltwater chlorine generator and VS pump .75-3hp. Going to include 3 Pentair laminars and curious if there is benefit to adding an additional pump to drive them? Thinking it would be nice to be able to control their flow and turn them down if it’s windy so the stream doesn’t get broken up and make a lot of noise.
Anyone have experience/recommendations to share? Do you have dedicated pump? If not do you have a VS pump and how do they interact with that? Am I overthinking it?

I would add a second pump, vs would allow differing heights depending on wind conditions

We talking deck jets or descents? I am assuming deck jets and one pump is fine the need is seperate piping amd valving to each fixture to fine tune flow. They dont need much power, I simply put a manifold in with an actuated 3way valve set in the automation with the wanted speed. Then fine tune each line with a one way valve so they're even. Only gets complicated if your looking to run other stuff while jets are on. After year 1 they will come on with company over, or occasionally for your enjoyment, dont stress it.

Thanks - yes deck jets and will have automation. No other features - just laminars and returns.

I need to learn more about what all the automation system with VS pump can do. If it’s plumbed like jimmythegreek suggests, then wondering if automation can have different settings/scenes for laminars-high laminars-low with the single vs pump running at different speeds? Changing pump speed would affect overall flows through filter, heater, swcg but not sure that matters.

Sorry if I’m missing some basics on this. Like the laminars a lot, but remember how they were too loud at neighbors pool when the stream was being broken up by wind, so trying to see if there’s a way to adjust.

like Pool medic said, a separate pump makes sense to me for being able to adjust laminars, but the plumbing and cost seems a bit much for what is a small novelty. With investments in main VS pump and intellicenter seems should be able to accomplish the same?

Agreed I would never waste the cash on a seperate setup for deck jets. Depending on the automation you go with you can program them several ways. They drive up PH always running but like everyone will tell you, the novelty wears off. They are great for having people over they look cool. I've never had to adjust a setup after the initial balance amd speed setup. If its windy they just stay off

Just an FYI, we put in 2 Laminars, we rarely used them because they were so loud. They looked amazing though. I wouldn’t pay that much for them again, we much preferred the sound of our waterfall.
