Ichlor vs. Intellichlor

I have a few questions on the Ichlor. I search the forum and could not find answers. I need to replace my IC40 and I am considering the Ichol 30. I have a 19,000-gallon pool with a UV light sanitizer.

Is the Ichor the latest Pentair SWG? I saw a few youtube videos saying that?

Does anyone have an Ichlor 30? Do you like it?

Which is a better product?

iChlor30 is sort of small for a 20K pool. I would stay with the IC40.

Just because it is the latest does not mean it is the greatest.

U,

We always recommend that a salt cell be at least 2 x the volume of your pool.. So for a 19K pool you will need a 40K cell.

I agree with Allen, just replace it with another IC40...

An IC40 is one of the items that you can buy on line and still get a 2 year warranty with a self-install

What is wrong with the old one? How old is it? If not too old, it could be as simple as a cheap flow switch replacement.

Thanks. It is about 8 years old. I already replaced the flow switch a year or 2 ago. I think it just might be time to replace.
