IChlor No Power

Hello,

I replaced my IC40 after 9 years with the IChlor 30 from Pentair. I bought it on Ebay but after 1 week there is no power.
I have done the following:
1. Checked the connections from the IChlor to the Power Center to ensure they are snug and secure.
2. I have checked the breaker box but all is looking good.
3. I opened up the Power Center to look at all the connections and they are secure.
4. I checked the fuse and it has not blown. The line inside fuse is not blown but it has an arc to it. I also checked for continuity.

The next step to is grab my multi meter and check the connections.

I have checked the power coming to the Power Center and it is at 120 volts. When I spoke to a Pentair rep he had told me to check the pin connections where the IChlor connects to the Power Center. What is the best way to check for this and what setting on the multi meter?

Here is the email from Pentair:

David,

As far as voltage troubleshooting is concerned, we just need to verify the voltage going into and coming out of the power center. Incoming voltage should be 90-130 vAC and outgoing voltage should be 22-39 vDC.

Thanks,

David

I'm in the third year with my iChlor30. I started having no lights last fall so called an electrician who said the voltage was good. When I opened this spring same thing - no lights. I read on here that it was possibly due to poor design and the connections getting wet which made sense to me cause there's always water under the clear cover so I put a plastic bag over it and sometime later (I'm sorry I don't remember how long) my lights came on and it's been working normal. We'll see what later this fall brings but I was sort of thinking water temperature had something to do with it too. Seems like I don't have a problem as long as the water is above ~75º. I say this to suggest covering your unit to see if that clears your issue too. I hope so!
