iChlor 30 out of calibration

My ichlor 30 which is about a year old now (2nd one ive had) is about 1000-1500 PPM low on its salt reading. I have had it cleaned per instructions with acid and the person who cleaned it said it looked perfect even before the cleaning.


Its constantly sending off LOW salt or critical LOW salt alerts, I have tested it at home with my digital gauge, and 2 different pool stores to confirm it is off varying from 1000-1500PPM. Im thinking the fact it THINKS its low is contributing to my low chlorine. These pieces of Crud are $1,000 and I really dont want to be buying them yearly. Is there a way to re-calibrate this thing?

It is likely the thermistor in the flow switch has failed.

Replace the flow switch. Pretty easy. See Pentair iChlor SWG - Further Reading

Next time you need to replace the iChlor, get an IntelliChlor. You can use your existing power center. Might need a replumb.

Tried the flow switch same issue ichlor 30 reports 0 salt.

I am planning on moving within a year so I am thinking I should just grab the ichlor 30 on Amazon for $799. Instead of paying more for an ichlor20 and having the cost to re-plumb for the 20.

I looked back and Pentair replaced this unit under warranty for me on 9/22/2022, its been messing up since September 2023. what a piece of junk.
