Ice melt calcium

I need to add lots of CH and wonder which ice melt product I should go with

I remember someone here saying ice melt isn't as good as "pool calcium", so I used to spend more money. Is that true or not really?

Would this (link) or this (link) do the trick? Both products may be available at local stores.

If neither is the right product, a link to an ice melt product would be appreciated.

I don't know why CH disappears in my pool when pool is closed. Had about 300 last season, now it's about 150. This is something I keep adding every season, while water displacement is not that high.

thanks.

Do not use any "blend" anything, Look for pure calcium chloride.

Here is a link for reference. A quick search on this part number or the one below may find a less expensive purchase option.

MELT50CCP

Another option would be to use Cal-Hypo to raise the calcium level in your water ONLY UNTIL you get to the correct calcium level then start with liquid chlorine again.
