I have been having an issue with my Pentair IntelliChlor IC40 since at least December. Cell is almost four years old. Located in South Florida so runs 365 days a year.
Unit was turning on normally and running thru regular start-up cycle but the the only light lit was Salt Level which was flashing green. Pool tested within normal salt range multiple times.
I took cell apart to clean it. There was some scale but nothing terrible. Same behavior after cleaning.
I did a good amount of research on TFP and it sounded like cell could be at end of life >10k hours of usage. (Things I should have asked when pool was installed!)
Ordered a new cell but before I have had time to install I noticed the IC40 now has no lights on it and does not run thru its start-up cycle when pool starts up in the AM.
Is there anything I should check before installing new cell? I am concerned that if there is a problem with the power center it could harm the new cell.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
