IC40 not generating chlorine or ?

My ic40 in at 40% life and all the lights are green. Yet it doesnt generate chlorine. I've tested water at leslie pool and done their recommended steps and still pool will not keep or make chlorine. Could ic40 be bad without showing anything wrong with it. never had this isuue before.

The Key here is "Leslie's".. Their testing and recommendations are not what we trust here at TFP.

I suspect that you are running your FC at 1 or 2 ppm and that you have algae, even if you can't see it yet.

As a quick test try this... Set your cell output to 50%. Go watch the cell. The "Cell" light should come on for about 2.5 minutes, while it is making chlorine, and then it will be off, for about 2.5 minutes, while the cell is at rest. If this test works, most likely the cell is making chlorine.

You need to do what we call an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test (OCLT)
