IC-40 Dead???

Mornin -didn’t see Poolstored’s message till today. Sigh.
I tested anyway and it was at 2. I had enough liquid on hand to get me up to 5.5 (also added some acid to get PH down) and will head to the store today to stock up on chlorine. Will get it up to 7 this afternoon and do the overnight test again tonight.

Ugh. Why is this so hard. I just checked my chlorine and it was 8.5. I was at 2 this morning and added 128oz of liquid and according to pool math that should have brought me to 5.5 assuming my pool is 16k gallons. It’s roughly 15x30 kidneyish shaped with a larger shallow end of 3’ and a smaller deep end of 7”. According to pool math my pool would only be 8000 gallons. So confused.

Use your pool math. If you don't have it, get it here. Link-->PoolMath
Use "effects of adding" function.
128oz of 10% LC will add 6.2ppm of FC in a 16000 gallon pool.
Your signature also says 16,000 gal?
You have to configure PM to your pool size of 16K

Thanks - but that’s exactly what I did! I have 16k in my signature because that’s what the builder put in the paperwork. I’ve tried to use some of the online tools to try and get a better capacity but they usually tell me 20k gallons.

I ran your numbers it is about 16K
According to pool math.

Which is about what happened. You had 2, add 6.2 and tested 8.5.
Your volume is probably about 15,000. (your 6.2 added a bit more).
Start with that volume.

I was out running errands all morning so I haven't slammed yet. Just tested and FC is 6 and CC is 0

I also pushed the "more" button on the SWG for 3 seconds, the lights flashed and then lit "60%" which I read is the approximate life used on the cell? Not sure if that's worth anything or not.
