iAqualink no longer works - help!

When doing the jandy recommended troubleshooting of plugging your laptop into the cable outside was the laptops wifi off ?

Hmmm...okay, now I'm struggling with what to order. I've tried all suggestions on this thread, so I've decided my antenna is definitely the issue.

On the "what to order" question....I want to understand. Here's what I feel are my options:

1) order the iQ20-a - antenna only, and my programming would remain through the pda (but i could still turn on features and lights remotely from my phone)

2) order the iQ20-RS -- new antenna and board...now i would do programming on web or on app on my phone

Option 1 is approx $300
Option 2 is approx $600

Am I paying the extra $300 ONLY for the programming difference or are there other advantages? I just don't change the programming very often so not sure I see the huge advantage, but I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT I'M MISSING. The last thing i want to do is spend the $300 and regret it in a few months. I want to get this purchase right....

You will not know what you do not know until you use the web interface for programming. It is that much better. It is worth the extra $300 for sure for this. I actually never use my PDA anymore at all for any reason. The main thing if you get the RS version is to follow the instructions and write down on paper all of the settings. I did not and had to do some trial and error to get everything working again. Not a big deal but took a little extra time. Also make sure you get the proper part # from Jandy as this is the brains of your system and needs to match what you want/need as far as relays and such. It is easy to do the upgrade and I doubt you will regret it. Also I don't think Jandy can do that much when you call for help with the PDA system. But with the RS system, they can fully control and program everything you need remotely. So from a support perspective alone it is worth it. And again you don't need the new panel cover just the small board. This may be a separate kit. See below that is what I got. The board in the picture is the old PDA board that is removed and replaced with the new board.

He connects via wired connection with his Aqualink, not wireless.

Update -- ordered the whole kit for $600, had it installed today. Works like a charm, and it's nice to be able to program from the app.....however, what a clunky way to do it by connecting to the web and having a bad connection. I finally just logged in online to finish my master program from my PC. Can tweak it from the app, though, which is nice. Now I just hope this setup lasts for a few years before I need the next version. ;)

Great news! I have only used my PDA like 3 times since I switched.
