Palm Desert CA.
I had a new salt pool built almost a year ago. Everything works well except I can only control the chlorine production from the Aqualink Power center. The equipment installer told me that I had to choose one or the other, you can only see/control it from the iAqualink web app OR the Aqualink Power center controls. They left it so the Power center does the control.
After seeing several posts where people have both options functioning together I decided to look into it myself. Tried calling Fluidra Support last week and they told me to have my pool equipment guy call them for assistance. He couldnt fix it then, Im not having him come back out again or call someone else. This cant be that hard to fix.
Any ideas what might be wrong before I open up the Power center and look? Could it be that they left that 4 pin connector unplugged? Something else?

I opened up the Power center and all wires appear to be firmly connected. There is a Multiplexer board on the left and all appears ok there.

Post a pic if you can. I also suggest replacing the 4 wire cable with a new one. Perhaps there is a short.

The 4 wire cable is actually 8 wires, they used Cat 5 cabling and each twisted pair goes to one of the connections so each wire is actually 2 wires (thats just the left side RS242 connector see pic below).

This is the entire inside. I can control the chlorine from the power center.

This is what I see in the iAqualink web app.

I think I just noticed the problem. On the Chlorine Generator PCM there is a missing connector. In the manual it shows that connection going to the Multiplex board. Looks like they have a full multiplex board so they probably didnt add the connection. If thats the issue is there anyway to fix that?

That would be your problem. You can double up one of the connections on the multiplexer board and grab that connector. You can have 2 devices in each connector. The CAT5 twisted pair is a bit Mickey Mouse but should work. I don't think the cable twists will effect the signal.

What is the 4 wire cable that they use?

Not sure I understand the question. I basically got the below for mine though.

I noticed that you have a empty red connector on the SWCG PCB. Is that your issue?
I also notice that you 6 red connectors - 2 on main PCB and 4 on the extension board. I assume 2 are used to connect the extension board to the main PCB - what are the other connectors being used for?
One should be for antenna, and one for your VS pump and maybe another for an inside controller if you have that.
You can connect 2 items to each red connector so you should have enough to add the SWCG controller

Thanks, I will need to go to the local hardware store and get a length of that 22/4 cable to use.

So realizing that I dont have the 4 wire connector needed to plug into the SWCG board I am going to contact the pool installer and show them where they messed up and have them fix it.
Thanks everyone!

Yep. And if you have a cable long enough that you can cut a piece off of it you don't need much for the SWG. My pump has a ton of extra cable on it I could take 5 feet off it.

You can rob one of the connectors from the multiplex board. Take one of those, remove the cable, and double it up on another one and then use that connector.

Yes - that is why I was asking what was connected to all the existing red connectors. You can move one or two of those to double it up to an existing one on the extension board, then use either 1 or 2 red connectors for the SWCG wires. I don't think you have any plug ins so you probably need to double up 2 of the existing wires to other red connectors to free up 2 plug ins.
