I think I have a leak???

Hi all - I am worried about a leak in my pool.

The back wall of my pool has a “wet spot” that I noticed today. The rest of the wall is dry. Up close, I can see a very slow drip. I have a video of this slow drip coming off of the field stone covering, but I can’t upload it.

The back wall is about 4 1/2 feet tall. The gunite wall is about 12 inches thick and covered decoratively with Tennessee field stone. I don’t see any cracks in the Pebblesheen covered pool and there is no plumbing in the vicinity of this area. The pool is only a year old ?.

Any thoughts on what to do other than call the pool builder?

While there may be no pool plumbing in that area, is there any chance the builder installed a French drain type product behind that wall to let excess moisture escape? Fingers crossed on that one.

I will ask him, but I think that is unlikely. I don’t remember him describing anything like that.
