I had a Pentair Superflo VS pump that was only 6 years old that died last summer. I am going to have to purchase another before this coming summer. I live in Central NY and have a 14x26 ft (14,000 gal) in ground chlorine pool. It seems that my pool vacuum that had it's own dedicated line for power with a booster pump, may have contributed to my VS pool pump failure? At any rate, I bought a pool robot that did not require the booster pump. Just plug in & go for 2 hours. But now I need to replace the VS pump. I'm caught between shelling out alot of $ for a Hayward VS or another Pentair VS. Any thoughts? I was a bit surprised that a pump that had only been used for 6 months per year X 6 years crapped out so soon.
