Hi

So long story short-the skimmer lid was a cheap acrylic plate and it was only a matter of time until I wasn't paying attention and stepped through it. Now I'm looking for a replacement skimmer lid and haven't been able to find and skimmer lids that fit a 13.75" diameter hole.

This made me give the whole skimmer more attention. The old basket is broken and I'm not sure which of the pipes (or both) go to the pump. I called a local pool company to see their advice and the suggest I need something like this. But I think I'm going to find the same issue as with the skimmer lid.

Any guesses on a brand to fit this? Or heck, any ideas on DIY solutions?

Thanks

Looks like a generic Hayward basket. A pool store may have one to try.

Is the lid really just a round piece of plexiglass? Someone broke it and didn’t want to pay for a new one I suppose.

Do you happen to own or know someone that owns a 3D printer? There are several free 3D print files on thingaverse that could be adjusted to fit. It would be an inexpensive print. I think they are a pretty standard size, so may not need to adjust the print file at all. Could have a cover printed in roughly 30 minutes.
