The link below is a great starting point with fresh water. Of course having your proper test kit is exceptionally important. If you don't already have a TF-100/Pro-Series or Taylor K-2006C test kit, that should be a priority. IMO, the TF-Series products are your better option, just be sure to have one of those. Whenever you have a question, just ask.
