I added DE... Now what?

Now that I've added DE to my filter, do I just leave it there, or do I follow the instructions on the box and set pump to waste to dispose of it after it does its job? It seems to have cleared up the white powdery substance on the bottom of the pool. If I do dispose of it thru the waste cycle, should I add more after, or only when I need extra help with the filtering process?

When your filter pressure rises by 25% over the clean pressure (prior to adding DE), you backwash the filter. No reason to add more DE unless you are still attempting to remove some debris from the pool water.

and pressure will most likely rise pretty quickly so keep an eye on it
