I was at costco this weekend and noticed that a 12pack of HTH Sock IT was selling for $32cdn, however I can get 10L of Liquid Chlorine for $6.

Im wondering what is the best option when shocking a SWG pool especially after a party or heavy use.

That is Cal Hypo. It can be used if your CH is very low and you monitor your CSI to keep from scale occurring in your water.

Liquid chlorine is by far the best. With a SWCG, you want your CSI to never go above 0, so that means more diligence in CH, pH, and TA management.
