HTH Max 70 and HTH 3" stabilized pucks?

Is there any problem with using up my remaining pucks and powder before switching to bleach?

What is your CYA level?

I doubt you have issues with CH as the powder is cal hypo. But the pucks are trichlor.

CYA is approx 30-35

You can use some of the pucks if you like. Or keep them for when you are going to be away from the pool for more than a few days and use them then.

I didn't understand your comment regarding the HTH Max 70 powder

The Max 70 is calcium hypochlorite. So it adds chlorine and calcium to your water. The chlorine is used up, but the calcium stays in your water. I am guessing (no water test data to go on) that CH in your water is not an issue. As Cal Hypo will add calcium to your pool.

I don't at the moment as I didn't do that test since my pool is vinyl. But I can complete one.

what readings would make it ok to use the HTH

Anything under 300 ppm or so.
