Its rough to compare most bids as each builder makes their money in a different spot. Builder A marks up the shell and builder B makes a killing on the equipment. In the end they have to make it somewhere so you do your best to spec the identical pool across the quotes and judge the costs by the faith in who you selected.

What's the best way to get input on bids I'm receiving? Thinking about trying to insert a excel worksheet with the bid details (although I don't have them all yet).

You can scan to make a PDF. You can also make an Excel sheet to compare PB side by side, but need to save it as a PDF to post it. Suggest you remove PB names and your personal info such as specific address, phone number. Refer to the other posts under the construction forum to get an idea. Some have 10-15 pages of questions and feedback.
